Restorative dentistry

Repairing and replacing teeth, with an honest idea of how many visits each one takes.
  1. Fillings

Repairs minor to moderate damage from decay, fractures or chipping. Amalgam and composite are both available.

    Typically a single visit
  2. Crowns

A cap for a damaged tooth, in gold, porcelain or porcelain fused to metal. A temporary crown may protect the tooth between visits.

    Usually two appointments
  3. Bridges

A fixed replacement for one or more adjacent missing teeth, anchored by crowns or by dental implants.

    Typically two appointments
  4. Dentures

Removable and custom-made. Complete dentures replace all the teeth in an arch, and partial dentures fill in around the teeth you still have.

  5. Root canal therapy

Removes infected or injured pulp and nerve tissue from inside the tooth, using local anesthesia.

One or two visits in most cases
