Dr. Judd started out in engineering. His own dentist talked him out of it.

During a cleaning, Dr. Charlie Nelson told him that if he enjoyed working with his hands, he should be a dentist. He graduated from Marquette in 1991 and opened McFarland Family Dental in 2005.
