Leland Judd, DDS
Founder and dentist
From engineering to a dentist's chair
Dr. Judd grew up in Evansville, Wisconsin, the son of an electrician, with dairy farmers and cheesemakers in the family. He studied mechanical engineering at UW–La Crosse, but the family math gene passed him by.
He was good at biology and chemistry, though. At a cleaning with his dentist and family friend, Dr. Charlie Nelson, he said he needed to change course. If he enjoyed working with his hands, Dr. Nelson said, he should be a dentist.
He finished a bachelor's in microbiology at UW–Madison, graduated from the Marquette School of Dentistry in 1991, and established McFarland Family Dental in 2005. He still takes monthly courses, with an emphasis on restorative and implant dentistry, and completes more credits each year than the state requires.
Outside the office you'll find him camping, hiking, boating, fishing or traveling.

Trained in customer service and treatment planning through Bill Blatchford Solutions and the Las Vegas Institute. She has been friends with Dr. Judd for over 30 years.

Trained as a dental assistant at MATC and worked as one for over seven years before going back to school. She graduated as a hygienist in 2020.

Graduated with honors from Madison Area Technical College's dental hygiene program in 2021. Free time goes to reading, scary movies and new recipes.

Chairside Dental Assistant
Earned her associate degree from MATC's dental hygiene program in 1994. The team's go-to, always ready to lend a hand. Outside the office, she plays hockey.

Dental Assistant
Earned her technical diploma in dental assisting at MATC and is working toward a bachelor's at UW–Milwaukee. She loves Dr. Judd's dad jokes.
